Gulf Oil Spill Response

The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is the largest contingency, to date, for which the USCG MRTT developed by IDEAMATICS has been successfully used. Once again, it has proven to be invaluable in the contingency response. So far, over 7,400 Coast Guard personnel have been deployed to support this effort.

The Individual Member’s Readiness rating available in MRTT allowed sourcers to not only identify members with the requested competencies, but also those that require training in order to be qualified to fill the need for personnel.

In conjunction with the 24/7 technical support, the IDEAMATICS team was dispatched to the Unified Command Center in New Orleans, LA to provide onsite training and support for Operation Deepwater Horizon.
